This week saw the launch of the Fishers Manifesto - the result of a three week creative sprint with our local fishing fleet. To say it's been a steep learning curve is an understatement - it feels like we've been on a crash course in post Brexit fishing rights. This was a request we couldn't say no to. We've collaborated with the fishers before, in the summer of 2019, exploring solutions for marine plastic pollution, but even then we had a sense that there were bigger issues at play for them. So much gratitude goes to Don & Steve from the Jersey Fishermans Association for putting up with our endless questions and having to explain the complexities to us again and again. It's been a privilege to work alongside them and we're super proud of what we've built together. But as with any campaign, getting to launch day is just the beginning - now the work really begins.
