#Ian Update: Disaster Survivor Assistance Teams are at shelters helping survivors apply for assistance. They’ll begin going door-to-door soon to check on residents, assist with applications, & answer questions about available assistance to help you jumpstart your recovery. More than 2,700 people & 150 pets have been rescued. Hospitals, healthcare facilities, barrier island communities, & power restoration continue to be a priority. Disaster Recovery Centers will open soon in Florida to help you access recovery resources. Beware of frauds & scams. Our personnel carry official identification cards & do not solicit or accept money. Don’t trust anyone who offers financial help then asks for money or personal information.
