The running man looks simple but it can be really awkward and confusing at first. There's a lot more going on in your muscles - and especially your nervous system - than meets the eye. The transfer of weight from one leg to the other while continuously alternating between having one foot on the ground to both feet and figuring out which foot to pick up and where to put it back down is a lot to think about if your body hasn't moved that way before. Try this drill to break it down one step at a time and remember that it requires lots of repetition before the new pattern can be created!
