I hope my kids look at this photo when I’m on the other side and say, “Mama was more than just a mother...she was her own.” ✨🥺💕 Motherhood doesn’t define me as a person... but it does make me an even more badass individual.. an endearingly chaotic, badass individual. 😭👋🏽 I think God put Sol Vincent and Leo Love in my life to challenge me and to focus on what matters most. I honestly felt like I was too selfish to be a mother. There was so much I wanted to do and experience before I had kids and I felt like my independence that I was just starting to discover was taken from me. Spoiler alert: no one is ever ready for motherhood. When i got pregnant with my first (unexpectedly), i was so afraid i was going to lose myself. On the contrary, i found myself and it’s just the beginning. I addressed my mental health, seeked help, looked inward, slowed down and was challenged in the best of ways. I overcame every fear, big and small.. I found that through the darkness, there will ALWAYS be light...As long as I take one step forward. Chasing my dreams is coo, but chasing my dreams with my stupidly almost- perfect partner and batshit crazy bbs in tow makes the journey even more powerful. 💕 and I can finally say that in full confidence, I am the happiest I’ve ever been.
