My animated short “She Dreams at Sunrise” won the John Singleton Impact Award at @ciff_nv this weekend, and John’s own family watched the short and chose it. What they didn’t know was I actually met John only a couple months before he passed, and knowing what a kind soul he was made this mean so much more.
