Today marks the 25th Anniversary of Nokia, formerly Lucent Technologies, adding “gender identity, characteristics, or expression” to its Equal Opportunities (EO) policy. In 1997, then Alcatel-Lucent employee Mary Ann Horton was a trailblazer for equal rights for transgender people in the workplace.
