This year, Farahnaz Hatam and Colin Hacklander of LABOUR explored the transformative potential of sound through composition. Premiering this Saturday at HAU in Berlin, their new work “sungazing (رضایت)” gives form to this research.⁠ ⁠ “sungazing (رضایت)” brings together an ensemble of strings, percussion, and voice in a multi-sensory experience. The collaborative work encompasses lighting design by MFO, dance by Cassie Augusta Jørgensen and Daniil Simkin, video works by Evelyn Bencicova, Enes Güç, and Zeynep Schilling and costumes by Marcelo Alcaide.
