It’s incredible how food can ignite so much nostalgia. The last few challenges on @masterchefuk have taken me back to my childhood and to precious memories of being a young girl, being with my family, the food we used to eat, the food that makes me happy. My Mum came over and as a tribute to her, for reminding and inspiring me to recreate this dish on the show , (albeit with a few more frills and a lot more butter! ) Was so special to sit down with her and enjoy it. ❤️ So, here is my Toad in the Hole with sausages from @gingerpigltd using the same dish from @steelite_emea Roasted Garlic Mash with a LOT of butter ( which I’ve learnt is the only way! ) Red Wine Onion Gravy and Green Beans. I didn’t do the Crispy a fried shallots as I’ve packed the deep fat fryer away!! Hahaha I am thinking an air fryer is the way forward? Let’s discuss.....
