Bircher Muesli is an extremely easy breakfast recipe! Essentially you mix together a few simple ingredients and soak them overnight to create a soft, nutritious breakfast. Traditionally it’s rolled oats, dried fruit & nuts and grated apple with fruit juice or yoghurt. So what’s the difference between Bircher Muesli and Overnight Oats? They are very similar but the oat ratio is just slightly different. Traditional Bircher Muesli has less oats and more fruits. While overnight oats are often mixed with other ingredients like chiaseed etc. It’s just nice to switch it up some time! Ingredients ⁃ 1/3 cup oats ⁃ 1/2 cup grated apple with skin ⁃ 1/4 cup yoghurt ( or coconut yoghurt for DF) ⁃ 2 tbsp shaved almonds ( or any other nuts) ⁃ 2 tbsp raisins ⁃ 1/3 tsp cinnamon ⁃ 3 tbsp plant based milk Method 1. Wash the apple and grate about half. 2. Mix all ingredients in a jar. 3. Let sit overnight and enjoy! 4. Delicious to serve with apple, cinnamon and yoghurt.
