One of the biggest things I've learned in this past year with our business is that you need people around you that are going to lift you up and tell you how amazing you are when you feel like the absolute worst kind of human. I didn't realize how much I was missing somebody who, outside of Andrew, understood me so well. As a wife, as a photographer, as someone who deeply wishes to honor God and love people. And be an artist and amazing photographer through all that. I didn't realize how much I needed Lea in my life and I remember coming to her saying how I just feel like I am not getting those HERO images. At least in my mind I wasn't consistently making images that wow. One day, she pulled this image and said, "This is it. This is the HERO shot." It's a matter of light and look and the emotion of the people and the way the dress happens to fall and even if you try to; you can't control all these factors together.
