Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov announced plans to name a mountain peak after UAE Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, during a meeting with President Sheikh Mohamed in Abu Dhabi. The Kyrgyz leader said the decision was made to honour Sheikh Zayed's humanitarian values and contributions, and for his significant role in strengthening the friendship and co-operation between the UAE and Kyrgyzstan. A public school in Kyrgyzstan will also carry the name of Sheikh Zayed, said Mr Japarov. Sheikh Mohamed thanked his Kyrgyz counterpart for the generous gestures, and said he hoped the leader's visit would boost relations between the two countries in various fields.
