Like Brittney Griner, I played for Dynamo Kursk in Russia from 2014-2018. It was a great experience and I’ll always be grateful to Russian fans for their support over those years. I have that in common with my friend, my sister, Brittney Griner who won seven Russian Championships and four Euroleague titles for UMMC; many of which we competed against each other for in some of the best seasons fans and players had ever seen in international play. Like me, she has great memories from her time playing and returned year after year to compete in Russia. With this, I hope that out of respect for the sanctity of sport – and in the hopes that this situation will get resolved and Russia can again become a destination for international players to go and compete, that Russia will show compassion to BG as her trial ends. I am asking that in honor of all our great experiences competing in Russia and around the world, out of love and humanity, that you show her mercy and understanding.
