Nostalgic for days gone by. Artist Raoul Olou is a Beninese multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto, whose work focuses on home, belonging and archiving the mundane. Through his series entitled “Centers”, @raoul_o explores the theme of nostalgia and examines the spaces we inhabit + how we interact with them. Olou’s shattered compositions represent fractured memories and the way we rewrite our memory over time. All paintings are from locations in Toronto and painted with acrylic-gouache on cotton archival paper.
