HVW8 Gallery Los Angeles is pleased to present Caught in the Grip of the City, Madness, a monumental solo exhibition from Bay Area artist Gregory Shimada. Opening reception this Saturday October 1st from 7-10pm. Exhibition will be on view Tuesday - Sunday 1-6pm and by appointment through October 30th. This will be Shimada’s first solo exhibition in Los Angeles and with HVW8. He was most recently featured in the Angelus Novus group exhibition at HVW8 Berlin as well as a two person exhibition with Parker Ito at Society of Art Los Angeles. Gregory Shimada (b. 1986) lives and works in Daly City, California. His work has been the subject of numerous exhibitions and solo presentations in New York, Tokyo, Mexico City, Vancouver and Los Angeles. He has collaborated extensively with brands RVCA, Tenbox, CDG, Better Gift Shop, Supreme and Stussy.
