Especially if it’s tretinoin from your doctor. I still like to use acid exfoliators in my routine but stick to only one active per night. For example if I’m using retinol I won’t apply a toner or my beloved Paulas Choice 2% BHA acid exfoliant. Nor should you use the Dr Dennis Gross peel pads the same routine. Most people will be just find with retinol and won’t exactly need or want to add in an acid exfoliant. So watch your skin and cater your skincare to what’s right for you.
