really hate tongues but thought this was a cutie/fun/fresh/super dev way to talk about that extra 25 mg of zoloft displayed on mine. it's the only thing that actually treats my premenstrual dysphoric disorder aka pmdd.
pmdd episodes are scarier than my other mental health obstacles because they move fast and sneak up on me. if i don't closely track my cycle, the whiplash is dangerous.
for the past three months, i've been able to finally outsmart my pmdd. as soon as i realize my period is approaching, i up my daily zoloft dosage for 7 days (as recommended and prescribed by my psychiatrist). it's by no means a foolproof method to treat pmdd. you need to listen to your body closer than your new favorite song. you need to take action the second something feels off or you could experience a depressive-meets-manic episode that makes you forget who you are.
knowing exactly when to take this tiny little pill has taught me to truly trust myself and my intuition. knowing i'm in control of this part of my life that used steal my happiness for too many weeks of my life has made me more content than ever. i'm more proud of this discovery than anything else i've done this year and just wanted to share 💞 ok that's it. thank youuuuuu💞
