A heartbreaker. Really the easiest way to put it. The Baja 1000 was not our race. The day started off pretty well, a few small hiccups in the beginning but it was all starting to come together. We were in a perfect spot to make it happen. I finished my first leg of racing in the lead and handed the truck to @raygriffith53. He was doing his thing, adding a minute to our lead in just 30 miles. Unfortunately around race mile 355 our motor began experiencing issues. Ray was able to limp the truck to a pit at RM361 and unfortunately that is where our day would end. Coming into this race, I have never felt more prepared for a race. Both Ray and I put in over 2 weeks of prerunning. We had an army of the best chase guys in Baja. We had an amazing truck. We had the full package but sadly the Baja gods felt it wasn’t our time to make it happen. I want to thank everyone who supports me and this team. Looking back, this is truly a dream come true just to be fortunate enough to be driving in this race. THANK YOU to everyone who helps this program move forward, it takes an army. We will take some notes and be back for more next year! @optimabatteries
