Who ‘nose’ what this is? • Had a Manometry PH test yesterday and believe it or not, 24 hours with this (and the machine with all the buttons to press when you eat / drink / sleep / get regurgitation) is the nicer part of the test! • The first part involved something a LOT thicker than this guy that measures your ability to clear your esophagus - basically how much pressure you can create at the bottom of your esophagus / top of your stomach when swallowing to rule out potential surgery causing more trouble. • Was quite a palaver, the lovely nurse got it all the way into my stomach, I threw up and pulled it out... continued to throw up for a while and then got it in and settled enough for the examination on my second go. • Shout outs to my hiatus hernia gang - reminded of going through all this the first time... not all bad - it gave birth to @aguulp and his since helped many people with gut / skin problems!
