Check this out. So we had a shot at the end of the Cruel video where The Queen @baileysok grabs @jacksonwang852g7 and pulls him up Into the air. We didn’t have time to rig them up on wires. Enter a fun solution using our virtual production stage. So, we placed them both on a turntable and @haldemane (one of our amazing unreal engine operators) calculated the speed of our turntable and matched the rotation of our virtual/unreal engine environment to it. She then animated the environment downwards to create the illusion that they were flying UP. The net result is that it looks like our camera is flying around them as they lift into the air together. I had to do very minimal camera operating here, just a moment where I had to lock in with them to grab a specific moment...the engine did most of the work. @icanseeyourprivacy finished off the vibe with a few well placed leaf blowers. Such exciting tech.
