It feels like seven years and ten lifetimes ago simultaneously that I was bringing my Baby A into this world. I remember them laying you on my chest, thinking, *Oh my God, there was actually a baby in there after all.* You have eased your way into our lives, one happy surprise at a time, every day since. You have met me with grace and gratitude at every step, layering it all in good music and a fun and goofy time. You are endlessly kind, insanely funny, and beautiful inside and out. Truly. At a time when I was so unsure of my future, you gave me peace and grounding. Even still. You made me fall in love with motherhood, and presence. You are art, always creating and spinning out ideas and concepts. Since the day you started speaking, you’ve wrapped everything you saw in a story. You’re not just an author of your own life but you’re one for everyone around you, especially your sisters and me. You were singing bob marley songs in bars by the age of three...dancing in them, too. Like me, you’ve never cared what anyone thought, but you also don’t care to impress anyone which I admire so much. The way you effortlessly cook and bake, the way you sing perfectly on pitch, and the way you live so freely within your spirit. Adaptable, romantic, intuitive to your core. Compassionate, sensitive and generous (in every situation outside meal sharing, lolll). Kind. My little Pisces baby, through and through. You have been unapologetically yourself since day one, never caring what anyone thought of you, all to make anyone in your circle laugh. Love you to my core. Even if you play softball and let people call you AJ - two non-negotiables I swore to never allow while pregnant. 😂 I hope you always feel loved, seen and most of all, celebrated.
