EBC chairman Wafula Chebukati declares William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua as President elect and Deputy President elect. Dr William Ruto the winner of the presidential election polled 7,176 141 votes, 50.49% of the total valid votes. Azimio leader Raila Odinga is second with 6,942, 930 votes, 48.85%.
