*HALADAY SHOUT OUT* Today we are shouting out Southeastern High School (SEHS) and class of 2020 alum, Kris Tia! Kris Tia first learned about HALA when she applied for Detroit to the Diaspora study program to Ghana scheduled for summer 2020. She later worked with Tyree Guyton and other SEHS students to design and paint a bus for @detroitbus. Kris Tia painted and recorded the entire process. As a junior, she hosted "Knowing the Unknown", a student creared podcast where she interviewed experts and community members about teen stress and depressoon in our "Podcast 101" class. Similar to last week's shout-out, this summer Kris Tia went from being HALA student to HALA colleague when she was hired as a camp counselor! An entrepreneur since 202p, Kris Tia recently enrolled in Cosmetology school with a goal of earning her license and expanding her business. Like our other SEHS students, Kris Tia is a natural leader, creative, and multi talented. We're wishing a great school year to Kris Tia and all of our SEHS family! #HALA #shoutout #Southeastern
