I’ve always said that even if we can’t buy all the fashionable objects we want, we can always dream about it through the imagery produced. Beyond clothing, that is the power of fashion for the everyday person. So thank you @voguephilippines, for allowing your imagery to be more accessible for the Filipino dreamer. Designed my own outfit for the #VoguePhilippinesGala with the idea that if I were back as a kid flipping through magazine pages, this would’ve been a look I would’ve stopped to look at. All prototypes for now: printed Barong with single line topstitch embroidery, plaid cotton everyday pajamas, a BodyMorph opera coat, the Sunburst top I made for my mother in 2016 (which is also the first garment I sewed myself), and a mantilla in the taste of Look 6 from Manifesto.
