#OnThisDay in 1997, I stopped Andrew Golota in the first round to retain my @wbc heavyweight title. What I remember well about this fight is that during camp and lead up to the fight, my mum did the cooking, and that day, she made made a change in one of her recipes , replacing her Habanero peppers with Scotch Bonnet. This really upset my stomach and I remember thinking right before the fight that I already had my gloves on... am I going to have to ask to take them off so I can handle some personal business? 🤦🏾‍♂️😂 - I beared through it and went out anyways. When I was face to face with Golota, he gave me a look that I didn’t like... and his nose was really red, like he’d already been in a fight.
