When I started cutting hair, all I wanted was for someone to let me cut their hair. I would bring my scissors in my purse and cut hair out at clubs, book launches, dinner parties- any place where I saw someone with hair I loved but thought I could make better (thank you @aprilcbarton for teaching me to look at things differently ✨) People often ask, “how do I get started?” The only way to start is by trying. You’re going to mess up, but then one day it clicks. You’ll keep some clients, you’ll lose more, but knowing that you will always be okay because you have your skill is part of the recipe to success.
