Been dealing with some anxiety recently, fortunately I have Olympian @nicolemdavis6 on speed dial (god bless 😅🙌) and here are some gems that she shared with me that are REALLY helping that I wanted to pass along... BE with the experience... 🧘🏼‍♀️ (Instead of trying to change or get rid of the feelings, ACCEPT them, BE with them.) When intrusive thoughts arrise, rather than panic or judge yourself, meet them with calm real talk... EX: “It would really suck if that happened.” And, “I’d handle it,” or “Future self can handle it.” Notice the anxiety, validate the anxiety, then try to get in touch with your body (the present moment.) What’s the loudest sound I can hear right now? What’s the quietest sound I can hear right now? Wiggle your toes and feel the ground beneath you. You. Are. Here.
