Today I’m speaking at The United Nations in New York City. Growing up this would have seemed impossible. A queer working class kid that always tried to reach for the stars that weren’t always in reach. Today I’m full of gratitude. I’ve been asked to share my insight on ‘Responsible Consumption and Production: Designing for Our Times’ for the Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network Annual Meeting. Working on my own brand and as Sustainability Design Director for @pinkoofficial A sign that doing the work pays off. It’s been incredible over the past years to work with and push the boundaries of what sustainable clothing can be and how a different fashion business model can look. It’s proof that the future of fashion lies somewhere much more holistically sustainable than where we are at right now.
