Naomi Ackie: The Score. Here’s a portrait I shot of the wonderful and lovely Naomi Ackie on the set of ‘The Score’, a musical heist-thriller directed by Malachi Smyth, which also stars the brilliant Will Poulter & Johnny Flynn who also wrote the soundtrack (which uses my photography for its cover also, check it out) My main memory of this day was that it was the very first shoot since the original Covid lockdown, so we entered into a strange new world of masks and protocols. Because my test results hadn’t come back in time that morning, I had to be extra cautious and was wearing a mask, gloves & a plastic apron which would crinkle every time I moved. Not the best outfit for shooting unit stills and having to be invisible & stealth. Still, got the shots and the cast couldn’t have been anymore accommodating.
