We are pleased to invite you to @hanamakgeolli x @enlightenmentwines — a celebration of urban producers, spontaneous ferments, and friendship. Hana Makgeolli and Enlightenment Wines have grown up side by side, enjoying a long history of sharing advice, equipment, staff and emotional support while making left-of-center, spontaneously fermented beverages in Brooklyn. This Wednesday, 7/20, we’ll be hosting a special winemakers talk in the Enlightenment Wines meadery. Winemakers from Hana Makgeolli and Enlightenment Wines will discuss our production of sool and mead and where our projects overlap. We’ll also be enjoying a guided tasting through the Hana Makgeolli portfolio. To pair with Hana Makgeolli’s sool, we will be serving a variety of Korean snacks, including jigemi-cured fish and wood-fired bossam. Come learn, drink, eat, and have a good time among old friends and new! Our discussion will begin at 5pm and we will have snacks until we run out. See you there!
