Today's rescue case is another puppy that our unsung hero P Sumneung rescued. Heidi, as she has been named, arrived on The Farm last week and quickly stole everyone’s hearts. She was likely abandoned and life without a mother or a human to protect them can leave puppies, like Heidi in a very vulnerable position. In Heidi’s case, a human would have spotted the amount she was itching, the hair loss, the irritated and inflamed skin and sought veterinary care. Heidi was found by P Sumneung in a terrible state. Her skin itchy and raw from the scratching, she arrived at Jai and it was quickly realised that little Heidi was suffering from mange. Mange is a condition caused by a few different species of mites. These tiny parasites live on or burrow under the skin and as you can imagine, the irritation they cause to a young puppy is immense. Heidi is feeling much better thanks to a medicated bath to kill those pesky stowaways. She’s feeling much better now and has made so many friends while recovering and soon she will be reunited with her rescuer P Sumneung and join her other friends back at the temple. ใจ
