But, a typical acne treatment goes like this: 💫 First we double cleanse to make sure all makeup, dirt & excess oil is removed from the skin. 💫 Then, we do an enzyme to gently dissolve dead skin & brighten the complexion + lighten post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This is usually done under steam. 💫 Next is extractions. Sometimes we use different tools to help make stubborn extractions a little easier. Barrier issues, dryness & dehydration make extractions much more difficult & sometimes even impossible. If extractions can’t be done safely without causing possible damage to the skin, we skip it & focus on those 3 things listed above. 💫 After extractions, we’ll use high frequency to kill bacteria on the surface of the skin & to speed up the healing process of a breakout. 💫 Then, we do a customized mask to promote healing. If the client is super inflamed, red LED is used.
