@thegingypants "Postpartum...it’s not glamorous, but it is beautiful 🥹💕 Our Birth story!❤️ 12/18/22 2:30p- Braxton hicks started, very irregular, not painful or “crampy” at all, just a tightening at the top of my uterus 7pm- Sat on my ball &very shortly after dinner & started to get that lower more “Crampy” feeling. They were quickly under 5-6minutes (But very irregular with some under 3 min apart according to my app!) 8pm- my Mom was at our house to stay with the Kids & we were on our way to the hospital!!! ~8:30pm- L&D triage, contractions were SO intense! I was definitely dehydrated again🙈=Worsened the pain They just kept saying I was in “Fierce Labor” 💀, First Check I was 6cm/ 70%, I was begging for an epidural 10:10pm- Epidural in. 9cm/100% & Basically said “I can Rupture you & we can do this right now”, I asked If we could just wait a little to give my body a break! She said ok, but it’s “GO TIME!!” When she gets back lol The PRESSURE was CRAZY!!! (Since I got the Epidural “later” I was still feeling the pressure bad, but able to breathe through it SOO much better) It was like I had a bowling ball waiting to come out of my butt. 11:37pm -When she went to check me again/tell me to start pushing my water popped & shot across the room like a super soaker (Some were “Hit”, I felt so bad!) Of course I asked what color it was... It was Meconium stained. Right then I started to get in my head & Immediately was Nervous & Scared. I knew NICU would now be at the delivery & that God forbid she was in any distress she would be in good hands! But def didn’t change how worried I felt. Within 34min Baby Girl was out! 2nd degree tear, Cord was around her leg, but she was crying within a normal amount of time & Cleared by NICU. I was so relieved after. That was the MOST intense workout of my life! Day 2 the soreness from labor started to kick in!! Joe was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Him & My Labor Nurse are ROCKSTARS!! (And must be so sore too!) My Midwife was an ANGEL!!! I don’t know how I would have done it ALL without her amazing support physically & emotionally!! Very blessed❤️ Olive Rose ❤️ 12/19/22 00:11 8lbs 14oz 20.5”
