Marty ❤️ 2/4/2012 - 9/5/2024 No cocktails, no drinks, no recipes today. I just needed a sec to tell the world that we lost the goodest boy a couple hours ago. We loved Marty with our whole heart since the day we met him. He’s been with us through all of life’s milestones: 4 moves, 1 wedding, 2 kids... etc. Marty has always just been happy to be there, a kind and gentle soul who loved us (and everyone else) unconditionally, and we loved him back in kind. Grief is hell but also part of the process. In a way, it’s a measure of the time you’ve spent bonding and growing with someone. At the moment, we’re crushed but we’re glad Marty got to spend his final moments in our home surrounded by his family. Right now isn’t easy, coming home to an empty house without Marty SO unconditionally happy to see you is a dagger. Time heals all wounds, but man, this one is deep. So please do us a favor and hug your pups extra tight today. Love you forever Marty boy, we’ll see you in heaven.
