[Made on Social].... Did you know today is World Social Media Day? 7 years ago, I left my design career and moved back to our hometown to raise our family. I genuinely thought that my design career was over, and never imagined that there was an outlet for me to do the type of work that I do outside of large international cities. 3 years later, I felt desperately unfulfilled without design in my life, so I decided to throw caution into the wind, and Ashen & Cloud was born. It took off immediately because of Instagram. I am truly grateful for this platform, and the ability it’s given me to work from where I am from, doing the work I love, with my family by my side. ———- Together with @sageofficial I’ve put together my Top Tips for growing your business on Instagram: ➡️Put yourself out there 🙋‍♀️ - Nobody will know what you can do if you don’t tell them. ➡️ Be consistent 👩‍💻- Even when it feels like it’s not working, not growing or not happening, keep doing it. It will move eventually. ➡️Share something valuable💡- there is so much on social media these days. In order to stand out, you need to share valuable information with people. Tips, tricks, and insider tips are a great way to keep people engaged. ➡️Don’t get distracted 🛤 - I try to stay in my lane for the most part, which is Interior Design & Architecture. My grid is the business front for the design studio and I’m very particular about what is posted there. First impressions! I like to share behind the scenes on stories. ➡️Appreciate your followers💌 - did you ever hear the saying “it’s easier to keep a customer than gain a new one?”. You can have a successful business with any amount of followers, so try not to get obsessed with numbers.
