I took this picture on dec 31, 2018 to remember where i wrote Stay Gold. I moved into a very small apartment near my work so I could write all night and wake up as close to 9 am as possible. At this desk, i dreamed of creating a fund and giving out money for gender affirming health care to trans people in need. it was the fuel that kept me writing and kept me waking for work at 8:35 am. today, after raising over $60,000, applications are open and we are about to change some lives!!! We are starting in NYC this round and will be expanding our reach in coming years.
