This Juneteenth we asked our Broadway Company Manager, Kendra Moore, what it means to her. Here’s what she said: “My Texas family celebrates Juneteenth every year with a big picnic. My cousin Don Wilson Glenn and I are in the very spot the proclamation was read in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865. The mural named “Absolute Equality” was created in the summer of 2021 to depict the history of Juneteenth. Remember, Honor, Learn, Celebrate.”
