You’ve got this! 🙌 — I’ve discussed this many times before, but I’ll say it again because I think there are people out there who think they should somehow just “get” hair and everything about it right off the bat and sometimes that’s just not the case. It definitely wasn’t for me 😅 I would say around year 6 I started to feel like I had a minor idea about what I was doing and things started to click. Honestly some days I still feel like I have no idea what I’m doing 🤣 A few things that really helped me to get more comfortable were: ⚡️ Taking classes: this was probably the MOST crucial piece. Even if you can’t afford a class, I highly encourage you to go on YouTube and start watching tutorials. Even if you take one small tip/trick from the video, it was worth it! ⚡️ Practicing on doll heads: do not underestimate the confidence that practicing on a doll head can give you! ⚡️ Experimenting with colors on swatches: get some swatches from Amazon and test out color so you can start to feel more confident with your color formulations! ⚡️ Analyzing my mistakes and figuring out what went wrong: if something didn’t work I liked to immediately think of a better option so I could be ready for next time ⚡️ Keeping notes on clients and adjusting formulas that didn’t work: I kept a lot of notes about my previous formulas, the results and if I needed to make changes for next time #beautylaunchpad #hairdressermagic #hairstylistinspo #stylistinspo #hairgoals #hairstylistlife #lifeofahairstylist #hairdresser #hairreels #haireducation #hairdresserproblems #hairstylistprobs #wordsofwisdom
