In an interview for Rolling Stone magazine back in 1981, at the height of the Stones American tour, Keith Richards was asked if he thought the band could keep going, creatively at least, for another twenty years. “I do, because nobody else has done it, you know? It’s kind of interesting to find out how rock & roll can grow up. I mean, there are other examples, obviously, but on the sort of scale the Rolling Stones are on, and have been on for so long, it still seems that if we do our best, the fans respond to it immediately.” Here we are forty years later and perhaps the greatest Rock n’ Roll band of all time is still going. Today we are proud to salute the legend that is The Rolling Stones.
