When I took this portrait of Johnny as ‘Mike’ between takes, late at night, dimly lit, I had no idea that it would be used as an album cover, I just saw a moment, an opportunity to represent his character and asked him to quickly pose for me. The whole thing lasted no longer than a minute, seconds even. My advice to any Photographers looking to shoot Unit Stills is ALWAYS take the shot, as you just never know if it’s going to be ‘the one’.
