"You don't get to live a bad life and have good things happen to you." Thick air hits Arthur’s face as he steps out of the wooden cabin in the middle of the deep swamps of Lakay. The sun creeps through the mystic webs of the Spanish moss hanging from huge cypress tress. Their trunks paint a magical pattern on top of the glistening water. Bullfrogs and ospreys start their morning song, while the sounds of the crickets is overwhelmingly loud. Arthur wipes away the sweat on his forehead. The heat is unbearable, yet it creates the unique feeling of the South. He lets his boot sink into the soggy grass underneath his feet, carefully checking the ground for American Alligators. The fishing rod in his hand is surrounded by bugs that try to feed on the little crayfish that the bearded man attached to the line. He sits down on a rotting piece of old wood and blinks, trying to get rid of the pearls of sweat in his eyes. The fishing line slowly sinks into the gator infested water. His head turns quickly to make sure the Night Folk is not around anymore. This is a dangerous place. But yet so packed with the breathtaking beauty of nature.
