Come meet me (and Mama P) at the stoop! 😘 . . . . "Open Invitation" is an interactive public installation that offers my fellow New Yorkers a shared space to relax and gather. Intended to embody the interconnected experience of city living, this hexagonal artwork is part seating structure, and part monument that celebrates community and feeling like you belong. I was inspired by how the city’s iconic brownstone stoops serve as sites for spontaneous social gatherings, so I decided to create a shared stoop for anyone and everyone. It is intended to be open and welcoming from all sides, offering seating in the round. "Open Invitation" is a 'call to inaction'—an opportunity to take a break from busy city life, slow down, and savor the moment together.
