Today is the last day of our New York City SYEP Summer Internship! Thanks to our interns for a great six weeks! Throughout the course of their emerging artist internship with Art Start, they explored the creative industries with site visits to our partners @areaware and @moma, completed a four week arts academy workshop with @sothebys, and had a photoshoot with @zstertz, where they got to learn everything that goes into a professional shoot including set up, modeling, taking the photos, and tear down. They also helped us with execution of our See Me Because public campaign kickoff event at Samsung 837! ---- Our Emerging Artists Program (EAP) supports historically marginalized youth, ages 14 - 21, who have exhibited interest and artistic talent, but require more resources and support to turn that talent into opportunities for their self-determined future.
