Jac Leirner participates in Noor Riyadh, a light and art festival curated by Neville Wakefield with a commissioned work, “Bold Copper Light” (2022). The installation resumes the artist’s investigation originally taken up with 2005’s “Little Lights”, in which expressions of her artistic vocabulary – accumulation, lines, repetition, relations between materials and metaphor – were employed in a long extension of zigzagging copper wire conducting electricity to light a bulb.
