Our recent Evereden pencil case and puffy stickers were designed in collaboration with Lisbon-based artist, Ema Gaspar @ema_b_g. We spoke with Ema about where she draws inspiration from for her unique and playful illustrations. 🪐💕 EMA: Some of the things that have been inspiring me and that I'm immediately reminded of are: • Some cute old toys that my grandmother gave me, which give me a very homey feeling. • Manga books, mainly Junji Ito's stories, which give me a feeling of limbo that is not either cute or horror. • I love the series "Clover" by CLAMP, apart from being fashionable the narrative is very fragmented and nostalgic. Since it's a project that was never finished I feel it's something that needs to be completed in the reader's mind. • I love fashion, and a book that I'm constantly revisiting is FRUITS by the photographer Shoichi Aoki. • I have been obsessing with the existence of black holes in the universe, it's something that I feel is so fascinating and unreal it seems like it's out of our reality."
