Working to become everything I want to be— just like them. Selfless, empathetic, giving, loud, lighting up rooms by just simply being in them. When God made you my parents he knew you weren’t perfect, but you worked hard to make sure your children were whole in ways you weren’t. I work each and every single day to make sure I am living in ways that is inspiring to younger me, encouraging to those who watch, lightness in a world that can be so dark, accepting new adventures that no one in our family has done before & paving my own path that I will look back and be so unbelievably proud of. Turning my pain into purpose started by sharing my story, relating to those my age who had a hole so deep in their hearts & wanting to spread awareness that “life is short, use this time to ask your parents the Questions I Never Got To Ask” because no one is immune to grief. It comes quickly, unexpectedly and you never know when it’s your turn. This year has been an honor to travel the country, share meals with our community, share a stage with someone who inspires me to keep going even when the world wants to tear you down. I can’t wait to see what our future holds. Thank you Dad for guiding me from above. Thank you Mom for supporting my vision here on earth & being Human Too’s lead role.
