Some weeks ago I saw a post by @brandon_shimoda, who had managed to fund a truckload of clean water that successfully made it into Gaza. I could not sleep that night as I often cannot these days, and I decided I would send water too, although I have many debts and have been giving small amounts to a handful of small organizations and individuals most weeks, the weeks that I can. Anyhow I did it and the water arrived. I split it with my partner, which was a beautiful thing for us to share — it only costs $400. When I found out that it worked—it mended something in me. Brought me back to the Earth. My heart rejoiced— but in my dread of sanctimony and virtue signaling, which have come to disgust me in ways I should not describe— I didn’t gridpost these photos and now I am begging god to forgive me because posting earlier could have inspired others to do what I did— just as Brandon’s post inspired me. Water is better than words at this point. Message Brandon for the info please— as of a couple days ago from what I have been watching and hearing the water trucks are still flowing. Though I am as far away as anyone and can’t know anything for sure. My prayer is that the water can flow and that your money, also the yearnings of your heart — that it can all become water. L’shana tova, may the new year be sweet.
