Some of my favorite photographs are taken of things that don’t seem like the obvious things to photograph. And sometimes I’m not even sure why I’m taking them - there just seems to be a stillness about the moment that speaks to me. Like in an Edward Hopper painting, I’ve found that some of the most seemingly prosaic moments are also the richest - you just have to learn to see beyond your initial perception into how they actually resonate with your soul.
