I had the opportunity to drive the R2 on 7 part tarmac, part gravel stages over the weekend @firlebeacon. It was a fantastic stage to learn the feel of a front wheel drive on both surfaces and just enjoy it in non competitive environment. We had a couple of things to adjust and change on the first two stages which as ever I loved getting under the car, annoying the techs with questions and getting to learn the car further for future reference. The R2 flew over jumps and landed incredibly well. The sequential box was seamless and it was just worlds away from driving my Subaru. Driving different cars is always a pleasure to build up your knowledge base. I’ve really lapped up all the snippets of information from drivers and watched the teams closely on the @fiaerc rounds that I’ve been reporting on in hope to broaden my understanding and use the best bits!
