‘The Darkest Parts Need Daylight’ (3/5) The term “shadow self” was conceptualized by psychoanalyst Carl Jung in the mid-1900s. Our dark sides are a part of our human experience: judgment, anger, envy, violence, control are necessary for the inverse emotions to exist. The more we repress these feelings the more we meander from enlightenment. Every part of ourselves is a gift. We live under the impression that in order for something to be divine it has to be perfect. We are mistaken. In fact, the exact opposite is true. To be divine is to be whole and to be whole is to be everything: the positive and the negative, the good and the bad: God and the Devil. But seriously I could not have accomplished this concept without the help of my team. Thank you guys for trusting me and taking time out of your work to help execute this vision.
