Pat McGrath Day @BLANCHEWORLD. ✨ One of the most valuable exercises for makeup artists in training is to study the work of an established artist and to recreate the work itself. Through analyzing the design, the artists should determine the products, tools and steps required to achieve a successful recreation. 🎨👍🏼 For this exercise, we studied @PATMCGRATHREAL's work "The Clown" created for @VOGUEMAGAZINE Halloween 2014 feature. 🤡 In the past two decades, Pat's work has always been a source of inspiration for artists around the world. Her bold use of colors, shapes and unconventional materials is like a strike of lightning that constantly shocks and stuns the fashion industry. ⚡️⚡️ Following my half face demo, I was really impressed by my Global Extreme Fashion Class at Blanche Macdonald with how well they performed in this exercise. From face-charting, brow blocks to achieving symmetry to their best ability, they managed to create Pat's unique designs on each other within a short period of time. 👌🏼 If you are an artist that is looking for inspiration or simply wants to further your artistic abilities, I highly recommend "recreating" an artist's work that you feel inspired by. However, always credit the artist's original design out of courtesy and respect. 🙏🏻 Products used, @MACCOSMETICSCANADA • Full Cover Foundation in White • Studio Fix in Shivering White • Powder Kiss Lipstick in Turn To The Left • Glitter in Fuchsia Hologram • Clear Gloss *used as glitter base @DANESSA_MYRICKS • ColorFix in Primary Red, Lollipop and Beaches @LEMONHEAD.LA • Spacejam in Curtain Call • Spacepaste in Malibu @ANASTASIABEVERLYHILLS • Liquid Lipstick in Sarafine @PATMCGRATHREAL • Clear Vinyl Gloss @SMITHCOSMETICS • 203 Mini Angled Liner Brush • 205 Angled Liner Brush • 253 Arrowhead Laydown Eyeshadow Brush • 302 Lip Brush #explore #explorepage
